We're thrilled to share some exciting updates on our Neighborhood Enrichment Grant progress this week. It's been a whirlwind of activity, and we're making significant strides towards enhancing the blighted property at the ferry terminal. Here's a rundown of what's been happening:
-
Partnership with OPA Graphics: We're delighted to announce that we've secured an amazing deal with OPA Graphics for our signage needs. The welcome sign, which will serve some much needed wayfinding, is well underway. We have finalized the sign and plan on picking it up when it is out of production.
-
Native Plant Selection with Volunteer Landscaper: Our collaboration with a dedicated volunteer landscaper has been incredibly fruitful. Together, we're carefully selecting the best native plants that will not only beautify our surroundings but also support local biodiversity. It's all about creating a sustainable and welcoming little area for everyone to enjoy (including a great first impression for every traveler exiting the ferry).
-
Recruitment Drive for Volunteers: Today marks an important step as we reach out to our community for support. We're sending out emails to recruit volunteers who can lend a hand with manual labor tasks. Whether it's planting, painting, or general upkeep, every pair of helping hands brings us closer to our shared vision. Our volunteer signup form is LIVE, click here!
It's truly heartening to see everything falling into place, and we're filled with anticipation to witness the final results of our collective efforts. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this journey together!
